Eastern Province Rugby Union will be having their annual Sub-Union League starting on 2 June 2018, at the Paterson Sports Ground.
The annual tournament aims to identify talent for the Amateur week, which occurs later in the year. EP Rugby Union is looking to rebuild its image and prestige through the Sub-Union and raise the quality and competitiveness of players in the Union and provide a high-quality pathway for them to filter into representative teams.
This year, the Sub-Union league has partnered with Hollywoodbets. Hollywoodbets supports development rugby as they are big on giving back to the communities that they operate in and developing different sporting codes in South Africa.
Frank Yawa, Area Manager of Hollywoodbets said, “We are a company that is passionate about the communities we operate in, where our Hollywoodbets ‘My Community’ Programme has grown even stronger over the years. Hollywoodbets has continued to increase support to charitable organisations and the development of sport within their respective communities. We are excited to support development rugby as we believe in the power of sport to change lives, and therefore in helping to grow different sporting codes in South Africa.”
Hollywoodbets will also be sponsoring prizes during Sub-Union league.
The programme for the day will go as follows:
Uitenhage vs Midlands 11h00 – 12h30
PE Metro vs Karoo 12h30 – 14h00
Sedru vs Koukamma 14h00 – 15h30
